Affiliate Program Terms and Conditions for Next-Door Rental

This is an agreement between you (the “Affiliate”) and Next-Door Rental Inc. (“NDR”). By signing up for the Next-Door Rental Affiliate Program, you confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and agree to comply with each stipulation.

Definitions 

  • Affiliate’s Link: A unique link or manual code, provided to each Affiliate, used for tracking referrals and Affiliate commissions. 
  • Affiliate or Affiliates: Individuals or entities participating in the Affiliate Program who are legally bound by these Terms and Conditions.
  • Affiliate Program: The program operated by NDR, through which Affiliates are compensated for referring new customers to the platform.
  • Commission: Earnings from each referral that results in a transaction.
  • New Customer Payment Term: The period beginning when the New Customer registers as a user on NDR and lasting for up to 24 months.
  • New Customer Registration Date: The date the New Customer is associated with an Affiliate through the use of the Affiliate’s Link.
  • New Customer: A unique, non-repeat person or legal entity not previously registered on NDR, associated with the Affiliate through the affiliate’s Link.
  • NDR: Refers to Next-Door Rental Inc.
  • Pay-Per-Click (PPC): Paid advertisement to promote content.
  • Payment Term: The period within which an Affiliate is paid for transactions involving a New Customer.
  • Referral: A potential customer directed to NDR via an Affiliate’s link.
  • Registered User: A verified individual on the NDR platform.
  • Self-Referrals: Instances where an Affiliate refers themselves, their company, affiliated entities, or internal networks.
  • Transaction: A completed rental where the item is returned without incident. 

Participation Requirements

To join and benefit from the Affiliate Program, you must:

  • Agree to these terms.
  • Be a valid NDR platform user, at least 18 years old.
  • Maintain a Stripe Connect account for commission payouts.
  • Use NDR’s approved materials exclusively for marketing and promotions.
  • Ask
    New Customers to add your unique Affiliate code at their sign up.
  • Every user’s affiliate code is in their profile section on the application. 

Policies and Prohibited Activities

Affiliates agree to:

  • Compliance: Follow all applicable laws, ordinances, and industry standards, especially concerning marketing and advertising.
  • Content Restrictions: Avoid content infringing on intellectual property rights or promoting violence, gambling, or illegal activities.
  • Paid Advertising Restrictions: Do not use PPC ads on NDR’s brand name or related keywords without prior written approval. Affiliates are prohibited from bidding on search keywords such as “Next Door Rental,” “Next Door Rental discount,” “Next Door Rental coupon,” and similar phrases, whether alone or in combination with other terms. Affiliates must submit any paid advertising campaigns related to NDR to NDR’s affiliate team for prior written approval.
  • Coupon Code Use: Affiliates may not work with discount or coupon sites. Displaying unauthorized discount codes in promotions is grounds for immediate removal from the Affiliate Program.
  • Self-Referrals and Internal Networks: Affiliates cannot refer themselves, companies, or associated networks. Affiliates may not use internal networks or closely associated entities to generate transactions solely to earn commissions. Self-referrals, prior clients, or any forms of abusive referrals will not receive commissions.
  • Exclusive Partnership Claims: Affiliates may not claim exclusive territory or partnership rights or create materials that suggest an official NDR partnership. Affiliates must clearly represent themselves as independent and non-exclusive promoters of NDR.

Violations of any of these policies may lead to removal from the program and forfeiture of any unpaid commissions.

Commissions, Payment Terms, and Payment Calculation 

Earnings: Commissions are earned from transactions involving New Customers referred by the Affiliate. 

  • First 3 Months: Affiliates earn 25% of NDR’s gross revenue generated from each transaction involving a New Customer (approximately 2.5% of total gross revenue).   
 
  • Months 3-24: Affiliates earn 5% of NDR’s gross revenue per transaction involving a New Customer (approximately 0.5% of total gross revenue).   
 
  • Two-Year Commission Term: Commissions are paid monthly and continue until the end of the Payment Term, which is 24 months from the New Customer’s registration date. Commissions are only applicable for unique, non-repeat New Customers, and cannot be extended through re-registration of the same individual.   
 
  • Payout Schedule and Minimum Threshold: Commissions are disbursed within 60 days of transactions completed in the previous month. Affiliates must maintain an accurate and up-to-date Stripe Connect account for commission payouts. The minimum payout threshold is $50 CAD, payable via Stripe. Any unpaid commissions below $50 CAD at the time of account closure will be forfeited.

Termination of Affiliate Account

NDR reserves the right to amend terms with a 30-day notice (Amendment Notice Period) and such notice shall be given by email transmission to the Affiliate. Should you disagree, you may terminate this agreement within the Amendment Notice Period. Affiliates may also be removed immediately in cases of fraud, self-referrals, or policy violations.

In cases of abuse, fraud, or repeated self-referrals, NDR may terminate the Affiliate’s account without prior notice, with all potential commissions forfeited. Affiliates under investigation must cooperate with NDR’s investigation process.

Limitation of Liability

NDR does not provide any warranty for the Affiliate Program, its availability, or the accuracy of tracking systems. NDR is not liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including lost profits.

Term of Agreement

This agreement has a term of 2 years from the Effective Date. During this period, NDR will accept and compensate affiliates for referrals of unique, non-repeat New Customers.

Affiliate Payment Process

Affiliate Responsibilities:
  • Update promotional information.
  • Keep all shared information confidential.
  • Promote NDR exclusively for item rentals.
  • Provide feedback to NDR on any customer input.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date Stripe account information on the NDR platform.

NDR Responsibilities:

  • Provide a monthly summary of completed transactions. Confidential user information shall be withheld.
  • Process and remit payments to the Affiliate within 60 days of transactions completed in the previous month. 

Miscellaneous

This Agreement is governed by Canadian law. NDR reserves the right to audit, terminate, and amend the Affiliate Program’s terms as necessary.

In the case of any suspected fraud or abuse, NDR reserves the right to suspend or terminate any Affiliate account at any time without prior notice. Affiliates found to have violated these terms may forfeit all outstanding commissions and face potential legal action.
