Refund & Cancellation Policy

General Policy

All payments and refunds must be processed through the Next-Door Rental platform to qualify under this policy.

Both renters and lenders may cancel a reservation at any time before the scheduled product pickup. Refunds or fees are applied depending on who cancels the contract.

Cancellation Window

Either party—Renter or Lender—may cancel a reservation through the platform up until the scheduled pickup time.
Pickup Definition: “Pickup” refers to the scheduled date and time when the renter is to take possession of the item, as confirmed in the rental agreement.

No reviews can be submitted for cancelled reservations where the item was never exchanged.

Refunds and Fees

  • If the Renter cancels: The Renter receives a full refund minus payment processing fees.

  • If the Lender cancels: The Lender will be invoiced by NDR for the processing fees associated with the canceled transaction to cover incurred costs. The Renter receives the full amount. 

  • Refunds are issued to the original payment method.

  • Cancellations made after pickup are not eligible for refund unless approved by our support team on a case-by-case basis.
